Approach to Therapy
In my practice, I embrace a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy and truly honor the opportunity that each one of you gives me when choosing me as a therapist. I believe that my role is to support and guide you on your journey towards healing and personal growth. Together, we will work as a team, building a therapeutic alliance based on trust, respect, and empathy.
In our sessions, I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts, emotions, and concerns. I will actively listen to your unique experiences, seeking to understand your perspective and the challenges you are facing. By truly hearing and validating your feelings, I aim to empower you to explore and discover your own strengths and resources.
Collaboration is at the heart of our therapeutic work. I believe in tailoring therapy to meet your specific needs, drawing from various evidence-based modalities and techniques as well as my clinical experience gained in multiple settings that have helped me shape the therapist that I am today. We will work together to set goals, develop strategies, and implement practical tools that align with your values and aspirations.
As a client-centered therapist, I am committed to respecting your autonomy and honoring your individuality. I will encourage your active participation in the therapeutic process, valuing your input and inviting your feedback at every step. Your voice will always be heard, and your choices will be respected and supported as we navigate the path towards healing and personal transformation.
Ultimately, my aim is to provide a supportive environment that facilitates self-discovery, growth, and lasting change. Respecting the time it takes you as an individual to make those changes. Together, we will cultivate resilience, enhance your self-awareness, and develop the skills necessary to overcome challenges and embrace a more fulfilling life. I am truly honored and feel privileged to be able to walk alongside you on your therapeutic journey, guiding and supporting you.
I work with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, phase of life issues, adjustment issues with different life stressors and provide services in English and Spanish.
