Hello! I’m Alejandra Barajas, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #151259), supervised by Celene Puig, MA, LMFT. I’m passionate about creating a warm and collaborative space where clients feel safe to show up as they are, especially during times of transition, uncertainty, or self-exploration.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from California State University of Fullerton and completed my M.S. in Counseling Psychology at California State University, Long Beach. My clinical experience spans school-based mental health, community agencies, and private practice, where I’ve supported children, teens, adults, and families navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, trauma, faith transitions, and identity development.
My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and respect for each client’s unique story. I integrate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment based work, mindfulness, and family systems, while always centering your voice and goals in the process. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and tailored to what matters most to you.
I especially enjoy working with young adults as they navigate life’s big questions around identity, relationships, faith, grief, and self-worth. I also provide faith-integrated counseling for clients who want to incorporate their spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic work.
As a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish), I’m honored to work with clients in either language and to support individuals and families with culturally responsive care.
Whether you’re processing the past, navigating the present, or hoping to build a healthier future, I’m here to walk with you with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for your resilience.
