Ashley Cantu
MA, AMFT
Hello, my name is Ashley Cantu (AMFT # 128932). I am under the supervision of Rosalinda Barajas-Calkins, PsyD; also known as Dr. B.
As a dedicated therapist with a passion for helping others, I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology with a focus on marriage and family therapy from Azusa Pacific University, along with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cal State Los Angeles.
My experience spans from working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both community mental health and school-based settings. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a behaviorist, where my passion for therapy truly began to blossom.
I strive to create a safe, welcoming space for all my clients, empowering you to reclaim your voice and navigate your journey. My role is to listen attentively and provide the support you need to reflect, process, and grow.
Collaboratively, we will set goals that align with your vision for the future. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to your unique needs, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and expressive approaches like Play and Art Therapy. My goal is to equip you with effective coping strategies and interventions to manage emotional distress and enhance your well-being.
I’m here to support you every step of the way on your path to healing and personal growth.
