Jocelynn Stallworth

Welcome to Together Family Counseling! I look forward to helping you begin your therapeutic journey. My name is Jocelynn Stallworth and I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT136552), supervised by Nancy Cruz-Biller (LMFT40178). I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Riverside. Through my journey as an Associate, I have acquired experience supporting clients experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, grief, loss, mood dysregulation, challenges around anger-control, impulsivity, oppositional behaviors, Autism Spectrum Disorder, parent-child interaction problems, family conflict, and attachment difficulties.

My clinical experience is composed of working with young children, adolescents, teenagers, young adults, middle-age adults, students, parents, and families. My treatment approach integrates my client’s skills and talents paired with modalities derived from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, Family Systems Theory, Positive Psychology, Play Therapy, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP). This approach is taken to expand upon what naturally works well with my clients while integrating clinical interventions.

In my approach to therapy, I like to instill hope in my clients on their journey to reach their treatment goals by identifying and reminding clients of their strengths, growth, and commitment to the therapeutic process. As a therapist, I value client feedback throughout the process of treatment to ensure collaboration and participation in their treatment interventions. Building and maintaining a safe space for the therapeutic process to occur is one of my core values to provide my clients with corrective emotional experiences and the ability to process difficult feelings and life experiences.

Thank you for taking the time to read my bio! I look forward to supporting you in your courageous journey to heal, build resiliency, and lead a fulfilling life!
