Associate Therapist Opportunities at Together Family Counseling
The associate years are an important part of becoming the therapist you want to be.
At Together Family Counseling, we believe those years should offer more than simply accumulating hours toward licensure. They should be a time to strengthen your clinical skills, gain confidence, receive meaningful supervision, and develop your own identity as a therapist.
We provide AMFTs, ACSWs and APCCs with the structure, support and clinical experience to grow — while doing meaningful work with the clients and families we serve.
More Than a Place to Earn Your Hours
Joining TFC means becoming part of an established outpatient practice where you can focus on developing your clinical skills without having to build a practice on your own.
Our associates benefit from:

Experienced clinical supervision and ongoing guidance

A diverse caseload of children, adolescents, adults, couples and families

Opportunities to develop experience across a variety of clinical presentations

Administrative support with scheduling, intake, billing and insurance

Comfortable, professional offices designed for therapy

In-person and telehealth opportunities

A collaborative environment with other therapists at different stages of their careers

Opportunities for continued growth within TFC after licensure
Supervision That Supports Your Development
Good supervision should be more than signing off on hours.
Our supervisors are experienced clinicians who understand the challenges of developing your skills while managing a growing caseload. Supervision provides a place to discuss cases, strengthen clinical judgment, work through difficult situations and continue developing confidence in your work.
We want associates to feel supported while also becoming increasingly capable and independent clinicians.
Build Real Clinical Experience
TFC serves a broad and diverse client population throughout Southern California. Depending upon your interests, experience and training, your caseload may include children,
teens, adults, couples and families dealing with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family difficulties, life transitions, behavioral concerns and other common mental health needs.
Our goal isn’t simply to fill your schedule. We work to build a caseload that allows you to develop meaningful clinical experience while providing quality care.
You Focus on Therapy. We Support the Rest.
Starting a career in private practice shouldn’t mean having to figure everything out yourself.
Our administrative team supports clinicians with many of the operational responsibilities that can otherwise take time away from clinical work, including intake, scheduling, insurance verification, billing and practice administration.
That allows our therapists to spend more of their time doing what they were trained to do:
helping people.
A Place to Belong — and Grow
We want TFC to be a place where clinicians know the people they work with.
Our therapists work from professional office locations in Covina and Ontario, with additional telehealth opportunities throughout California. Working within a group practice provides opportunities for consultation, mentorship and connection that can be difficult to find when practicing entirely on your own.
And we hope your relationship with TFC doesn’t necessarily end when you become licensed.
For associates who are a strong fit with our practice, there may be opportunities to continue growing with TFC as a licensed clinician and potentially take on additional clinical or leadership responsibilities over time.
Who We Look For
We’re interested in associates who care about becoming excellent therapists.
That means people who are compassionate and approachable with clients, receptive to supervision and feedback, dependable with documentation and professional responsibilities, and interested in being part of a collaborative practice.
We welcome AMFTs, ACSWs and APCCs who are registered and in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
