Hi, I’m Alexandra Flores (AMFT #151770), an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Sarah Cable, MSW, LCSW. I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of mental health settings including inpatient psychiatric care, community nonprofit, and now private practice. I work with all age groups, but I have a soft spot for adolescents – I find it deeply rewarding to help them navigate such a formative stage of life.
I earned my B.A. in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University and my M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens. My style tends to incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and solution-focused techniques, but most importantly, I meet each client exactly where they’re at. I’m very adaptable in the therapy space. Whether you’re looking for something more casual and conversational or prefer a structured, goal oriented approach, I’ll adjust to what works best for you.
Outside of work, I’m a big animal lover (I have three doodles), I love traveling, and I’m a pretty crafty person. I believe therapy should feel safe, collaborative, and human, and I bring my full self into each session to make that possible.
